L’édition 2015 est sur les rails.
La dégustation aura lieu vendredi 5 et samedi 6 juin au Château d’Aigle.

Pour la 4e édition 2015, le délai d’inscription est fixé au 1er mai.

Le règlement (lien ci-dessous) a subi une importante modification: la catégorie vieux millésimes démarre à partir de 2008, la catégorie principale étant réservée aux millésimes 2013 et 2014.

Le Mondial obtient le patronage de l’OIV
L’Organisation Internationale de la Vigne et du Vin a décidé d’accorder son haut patronage au Mondial du Chasselas. L’édition 2015 sera ainsi „labellisée“ OIV. C’est une magnifique reconnaissance pour ce concours et cela nous encourage dans la voie de l’excellence.

Back in 1955, Ljubljana wine competition got the sponsorship of the International Organization for Vine and Wine (OIV), which it has retained till this day. In the year of wine, on the 30th October 1987, OIV in Rome granted Ljubljana the title ‘The City of Vine and Wine’.
With its rich development, Ljubljana competition has become a reference evaluation of world organizations which are in charge for sensory analysis of wines (OIV, VINOFED, UIOE). Ljubljana competition is considered the oldest international wine competition in the world and is ranked among the 10 most elite wine competitions in the world.

„The International Wine Competition is the oldest international competition in the EU and worldwide. In addition to medals we grant special awards: World Champion, Tsukamoto trophy, Akos Asvany diploma, Country Champion, Slovenian Champion, Champion of the winegrowing district, Slovenian champion of a sort and the Winner of Slovenian specialty wines. The winners will be awarded at the ceremonial opening of the Wine Fair on 15 October 2015.“

Cabernet is the most widely grown grape variety in the world. It is actually better to talk about cabernets in the plural, because there are many different types. The most well-known are the Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, but there are others including the Cabernet Dorio, Cabernet Moravia, etc. There is even a Cabernet Blanc (see the cabernets page).
The objective of the International Competition of Cabernets is to compare these wines and award the best cabernets in the world.

The Union de la Sommellerie Française (UDSF) is partnering the competition. This organisation brings together nearly 1200 sommeliers and selects the best Sommelier of France, amongst other awards.
Their expertise and their perfect knowledge of consumer tastes is a further guarantee of the quality of the wine selection. The results of the selection are communicated to USDF members after the event.

The competition is run by Armonia, which also organises the prestigious Lyon International Competition, the International Gamay Competition (with Inter Beaujolais) and the ‘Un vin presque parfait’ with M6 television. Armonia is ISO 9001 certified and monitored by an external auditor.
The company follows quality procedures in order to guarantee precise technical management for producers and rigorous selection for the consumers.

Competition deadlines:
The 9th edition of the Féminalise Wine Competition is now worldwide. This wine competition judged only by women takes place every year in Beaune, France and designates Gold, Silver and Bronze Féminalise medals.

The last editions have united over 600 wine tasters, all professionals in the wine sector or seasoned oenophiles, to taste about 4000 French wines.

Created in 2009, with a first edition in 2010, the Lyon International Competition is clearly a success: the number of wines presented in all categories (reds, rosés, white wines, still wines, liqueurs and sparkling wines) has increased by 25% each year.
In 2014, a total of 3700 wines were blind tasted by 500 oenologists, sommeliers, restaurant owners, wine producers and enlightened amateurs and given a grade out of 100. In 2014, 528 gold medals and 647 silver medals were awarded.
Now in 2015, the competition has taken another important step forward in opening its doors to beers, spirits and aperitifs.

The Wine Producers Association of the Northern Greece Vineyard and TIF Helexpo-Oenos, invite you to participate in the 15th Thessaloniki International Wine Competition and in the 1st Thessaloniki International Spirituous Beverages of Vitivinicultural Origin Competition, which will be held in Thessaloniki from February 24th – 26th, 2015 in „Ioannis Vellidis“ Congress Centre.

World class wine and spirits professionals, like Tom Stevenson, Stephen Spurrier, Steven Daniel and Roger Dagorn, have accepted the invitation of the Wine Producers Association of the Northern Greece Vineyard to judge at the Thessaloniki International Wine and Spirits Competition and even before the competition was over, declared an interest in being invited back, totally fascinated by Greek wine and spirits. Turning important people into dedicated ambassadors in just a few days could well be the ultimate proof that Thessaloniki’s Wine and Spirits Competition is now an integral part of the Modern Greek Wine and Spirits Renaissance.
