7th WINEMAKING COMPETITION FOR 2015 ENOEXPO® MEDAL

You are welcome to participate in the 7th WINEMAKING COMPETITION FOR 2015 ENOEXPO^® MEDAL which accompanies the 13th ENOEXPO^® International Wine Trade Fair in Kraków (04th -06th November 2015, Kraków, 9 Galicyjska Str.).

The aim of this competition is to select the best wines in specific categories, and award them with ENOEXPO^® 2015 TRADE FAIR MEDALS. The competition can be entered by producers and importers of wine, independently of whether they exhibit at ENOEXPO^®2015 or not. Participants can enter the wines which are well known and available in Poland, and those that they are planning to introduce in the Polish market.

Your products will be evaluated by a competition jury of independent experts not connected with the producers or importers of wine, but experienced journalists and specialists in wine industry.

Participation in the Competition is possible after completing the application sheet, sending wine samples and paying the fee:

– PLN195/EUR 50 until 01.10.2015 for the application of ENOEXPO^® 2015 TRADE FAIR participants

– PLN 295/EUR 75 until 01.10.2015 for the application of participants who are not taking part in the ENOEXPO^® 2015 TRADE FAIR

There is a possibility to submit a wine in more than one category.
The application deadline is 1st October 2015.

It is no secret that the UK trade has been looking further afield in an attempt to expand their wine portfolios in order to offer the consumer interesting, diverse, high quality and great value wines.

Now in its third year, the Emerging Regions Tasting is a targeted event providing specialist importers and producers from lesser-known regions around the world a great opportunity to present their wines to a high quality audience of independent and multiple on- and off-trade buyers.

This exciting event offers a unique proposition as the only tasting that showcases wine regions of the globe yet to be discovered and still relatively new to the UK market. Taking place under one roof, in the course of one day, it offers a definitive and time efficient one stop shop to buyers looking to add new and interesting wines to their portfolios.

Some regions exhibiting have a presence here already, however the UK market will still be a junior proposition for them and as such they can offer exciting wines for buyers seeking something new and different. The Emerging Regions Tasting will also be open to producers of wines from new regions of established wine producing countries, an example being the Bierzo region of Spain.

Taking place in a fantastic brand new location, Floor 42 at The Leadenhall Building, the event will tower above the City of London, offering a truly unique tasting experience in line with the theme of the day.

The sixth Concours Mondial du Sauvignon took place on May 22 and 23 2015 in Friuli Venezia Giulia, a major producer of Sauvignon wines. The contest aims to promote wines made from the varietal by increasing awareness of the comprehensive range of Sauvignon blanc wines worldwide and providing a cue for consumers at point of sale.
The organisers of the Concours Mondial du Sauvignon have set up a steering committee comprising seven members of the wine industry whose aim is to build up an information database providing dedicated literature for the industry and consumers. Despite its international ubiquity, Sauvignon blanc undoubtedly has yet to reveal many of its qualities and idiosyncrasies.
