The 35th London Wine Fair 2015

LIWF 2015 logo

Exhibiting at the London Wine Fair is the way to put your company’s products in front of the single largest group of wine trade professionals and end retailers in the UK.

With a long and diverse wine trade history, the United Kingdom has played a pivotal role in the development of the global market. It is this creative, pioneering spirit the London Wine Fair looks to seize upon, to be the annual event for business, innovation and experience.

The London Wine Fair welcomes over 11,000 wine trade professionals every year. Our visitor audience is drawn from the restaurant and bar trade, independent retail and regional wholesale, and from the convenience and multiple retailers. In addition to retailers, we welcome the trade press, importers and recognised trade professionals from all support services to the wine trade.

Some 700 exhibitors take part in the London Wine Fair 2015. From many of the world’s leading brand owners, to individual producers collectively displaying over 10,000 wines from every corner of the world. Largely split into country pavilions and import agencies, there’s so much to explore and discover. Regsiter to visit

Another fascinating schedule of Wine Fair masterclasses is currently being prepared.  World-class producers, experts and critics will lead you through tasting a series of sessions that you simply won’t find anywhere else. Not to be missed. Schedule

After a successful launch in 2014, Esoterica returns to Olympia’s gallery level. Around 80 small scale and specialist importers displaying 12 wines each in a table-top environment. If you’re looking for a boutique UK importer with a fabulous selection of wines, look no further. Perfect for visiting independent retailers and sommeliers. More

From 2015, the London Wine Fair will introduce an annual celebration of two grape varieties – one well-known and widely planted, the other less so; one red and one white. Launching the initiative with Syrah and Grüner Veltliner, the Fair will act as a platform providing tailored content to celebrate each variety… More

The place for topical debate, presentations, research and future thinking.  A perennial favourite feature of the Fair, speakers will analyse the past, argue the present and predict the future.  Expect big names and big subjects. Schedule

New to the Fair for 2015, Wines Unearthed is an area dedicated to wine producers looking for UK representation. Participating wineries have no UK importer and should be export ready. Around 50 producers are expected to take part. More

The View Tastings, in association with Octavian, the pre-eminent fine wine cellarers, will be a self-contained area within the Fair, specifically for companies which deal in premium and super-premium wines. Entrance will only be available to those with proven fine wine buying power and journalists. More

Bulk wine is increasingly seen both as a cost effective and environmentally friendly method of delivering wine to market. The bulk category now constitutes a considerable proportion of the UK wine market.  As such, we consider it essential to have a designated area with bulk producers and brokers, complete with its own symposium offering debate and discussion relevant to the bulk market.

VinAgora 2015 International Wine Competition

Vinagora 2015
Certified quality  Vinagora2015_ENG_application

Since its establishment in 1992, VinAgora, as a member of VinoFed, has become one of the 10 most professionally recognised competitions in the world. It has obtained the patronage of major international professional organisations, such as OIV (International Organisation of Vine and Wine)and UIOE (Union Internationale des Oenologues). It is an active member of VINOFED (Fédération Mondiale des Grands Concours Internationaux de Vins et Spritiueux).

The organizers strongly believe that the partnership and patronage of highly acclaimed international organisations helps evaluating Hungarian wines in an authentic and unbiased way. Setting up a wine competition in a „custom-tailored“ manner, with guided preconceptions, sometimes influencing foreign wine judges is self-deception that only contributes to the conservation of the flawed idea of „world famous“ Hungarian wines only known within the borders.

„The Best of Country“ prize

Another new development is that if at least 20 samples are received from a foreign country, the gold medalist wine that achieved the highest score among the competing samples will be awarded a special prize.

Reasonable entry fee

Compared to the fees at renowned wine competitions abroad, VinAgora offers a reduced entry fee, which is affordable even to smaller winemakers. Entering one sample costs EUR 130,-, and the per-unit cost of entering a sample decreases with the number of samples submitted. For example, four samples can be submitted for a mere EUR 460.

Multi-level evaluation

– Renewed VinAgora Software for the complex evaluation of the wines
OIV, 100-point scale:  The quality of the wine is evaluated according to an overall average of the points awarded
Wine profile („spider’s web diagram“):  An assessment of the most important elements defining the character of the wine
List of aromas:  A list of the most characteristic components of the bouquet and flavour

Publicity

Online catalogue of competition results on our website www.vinagora.com
– Publication of results in the electronic trade media of neighbouring countries
– A wide-ranging Hungarian and international PR campaign
Catalogue of detailed results, that is made available to the general public at the VinAgora Wine Gala
– The catalogue of results is sent to all participants as well as Hungarian and international wine trading companies, wine shops, professional organisations and the press

The VinAgora Wine Gala is a one-day long post-competition event where:

– consumers are provided an opportunity to gain an insight into the world of wine competitions and to become acquainted with the methods of selecting quality wines
– interested wine-lovers and professionals have an opportunity to taste all of the wines of the competition
– every winemaker who submitted at least 5 samples, can represent his/her wine personally in the Gala
– 1000 visitors every year are the proof that it is worthwhile using the results of VinAgora as a means to gain consumer confidence and markets.

Macaron on the bottle

The makers of medal-winning wines will be allowed to order the „VinAgora macaron“ as a proof of their excellent performance (a round stick that can be added to the main label on the bottle) in order to strengthen consumer confidence in their wines and increase their popularity and reputation.

FENAVIN Spanish Wine Fair 2015

Fenavin logoCuidad Real May 12-14.2015

FENAVIN is the Spanish wine industry“s most important global trade fair“
This is how both the EL PAÍS newspaper, in an article in its Business supplement, and ICEX, refer to the National Wine Fair.

It is an opinion shared by Spanish wineries and cooperatives, which have supported FENAVIN as a tool for boosting the Spanish wine sector at home and abroad since it first opened its doors. The sector appreciates the efficient system used by the Fair year after year. The Fair“s management continues to work towards the same goal: Helping demand and supply to meet and do business using sensible and efficient business tools.

This system, focused on the needs of buyers, has made FENAVIN, in just seven years, into Spain“s most important wine industry trade fair and the only one offering a focused business environment.
This is why, at FENAVIN 2013, 1,214 vineyards, from all over Spain, attended the event, held in eight pavilions. Almost all the Spanish Designation of Origin regions signed trade agreements at Spain“s top wine event.

Since it started, FENAVIN has specialized in encouraging export trade: An international approach that has allowed the Spanish wine industry to establish a presence in the most important international markets. To encourage export trade, the Fair has delegations all over the world: In 2013 3,052 buyers from 58 countries attended, 659 of them actively organized by the Fair“s management team.

COUNTRIES OF ORIGIN OF THE BUYERS AT FENAVIN DURING ITS SEVEN EVENTS

This dedication to trade also means that FENAVIN pays special attention to national buyers.
So much so that 9,778 Spanish buyers attended and worked hard at the 2013 event.
