Concours Mondial du Sauvignon 2015

The sixth Concours Mondial du Sauvignon took place on May 22 and 23 2015 in Friuli Venezia Giulia, a major producer of Sauvignon wines. The contest aims to promote wines made from the varietal by increasing awareness of the comprehensive range of Sauvignon blanc wines worldwide and providing a cue for consumers at point of sale.
The organisers of the Concours Mondial du Sauvignon have set up a steering committee comprising seven members of the wine industry whose aim is to build up an information database providing dedicated literature for the industry and consumers. Despite its international ubiquity, Sauvignon blanc undoubtedly has yet to reveal many of its qualities and idiosyncrasies.
